Zinc molybdate is an inorganic compound that contains zinc, molybdenum, and oxygen. It is used as a nutrient solution for plants to provide essential nutrients such as zinc, iron, and manganese. The chemical formula of this compound is ZnMoO4. This compound is insoluble in water but soluble in ethylene diamine (ED) or hydrochloric acid (HCL). Zinc molybdate can be obtained by laser ablation of particles or by heating zirconium oxide with ED.
