Potassium tetrabromopalladate(II) (KPtBPd) is an inorganic compound that belongs to the group of chloride, tetrachloropalladate, diammonium. It has been shown to be toxic to animals and humans when administered orally or by inhalation. The administration of KPtBPd alters the structure and function of biological membranes by interacting with membrane proteins. This interference may lead to cell death by apoptosis. KPtBPd is also believed to inhibit nitrate uptake into cells, which can lead to reduced fertility in animals and humans.
