Product Information
2,6-Naphthalenedisulfonyl chloride (2,6-NS) is a chloride that binds to primary amines. It inhibits the synthesis of polyamines by binding to the enzyme ornithine decarboxylase and blocking the transport of L-arginine. 2,6-NS can also inhibit the growth of carcinoma cells by inhibiting the production of nitric oxide. The 2,6-NS molecule is linked to a triazole or benzotriazole through a linker. These linkers are used in medicines as transport inhibitors for cancer drugs and antihypertensives.
