N4-Benzoyl-2'-O-methylcytidine is a triester of cytidine that is used in various biochemical research applications. It is enzymatically synthesized from cytidine and benzoyl chloride. N4-Benzoyl-2'-O-methylcytidine has been shown to have the same electrophoretic mobility as 5-hydroxyl cytidine, but it does not react with hydroxylamine to produce the corresponding hydroxylated product.
