2-Amino-4H-chromen-4-one is a coumarin derivative that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. This compound inhibits the growth of cancer cells by blocking the activity of amines and their receptors, which are involved in platelet aggregation and blood clot formation. It also inhibits the activity of Ca2+ ionophore, which is an enzyme that regulates intracellular calcium levels. 2-Amino-4H-chromen-4-one has also been shown to be antiplatelet, inhibiting ADP and collagen induced platelet aggregation in vitro. 2-Amino-4H-chromen-4-one has a molecular weight of 192.2 g/mol and can be broken down by plasma esterases, which makes it biodegradable.
