Product Information
Groenlandicine is a coumarin derivative that is used in the treatment of hepatic steatosis. It inhibits cholesterol synthesis and has been shown to be effective in treating metabolic disorders and hyperlipidemia. Groenlandicine also inhibits acetylcholinesterase, which results in increased levels of acetylcholine and therefore increased neurotransmission. It has potent inhibitory activity against chinese medicine preparations, such as jatrorrhizine hydrochloride (JHT). Groenlandicine binds to the active site on acetylcholinesterase and blocks the enzyme's action. This leads to an increase in acetylcholine, which is an important mediator of neurotransmission.
