Description:
Cytidine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate monosodium is a phosphotriester that is used as a building block to synthesize ribonucleosides, uridine, guanosine, and cytidine. The phosphate group in the molecule can be removed by nucleophilic substitution with ammonia or sodium hydroxide to form the corresponding nucleosides. Cytidine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate monosodium has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth.
