Description:

6-Chloro-9-methylpurine is an inhibitor of the enzyme kinase. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of 6-chloropurine phosphohydrolase and 6-chloropurine nucleoside phosphorylase, which are important enzymes in purine metabolism. 6-Chloro-9-methylpurine can be used to treat a number of diseases, including myeloid leukemia, where it inhibits the production of nucleic acids. This drug has also been shown to inhibit the growth of lettuce by inhibiting chlorophyll synthesis.
