Description:
4-Chloro-7-(2-C-methyl-b-D-ribofuranosyl)-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine is a novel anticancer compound that inhibits the synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein. It is a phosphoramidite monophosphate that can be used in the synthesis of oligonucleotides and DNA. 4CHP is effective against Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1) and cytomegalovirus (CMV). 4CHP also has antiviral activity against influenza A virus.
