5-Chloro-7-(2-C-methyl-b-D-ribofuranosyl)-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-amine is a novel nucleoside and phosphoramidite activator. It is synthesized from 2'-deoxyadenosine, 5'-chloropurine riboside, and 1,1'-bis(diisopropylphosphino)ferrocene. This compound has been shown to be an effective antiviral and anticancer agent in vitro.
