1-Benzyloxy-4-bromo-2-methoxybenzene is a diastereomer of 2,3-dibromofuran. It has been used in the synthesis of biomolecules and has been found to be a bioactive substance as well. The yields for this compound are not known. 1-(Benzyloxy)-4-bromo-2-methoxybenzene is found in spectra that show unsymmetrical dichroism and intramolecular furan chemistry. This compound has two configurations, (S) and (R), which can be determined by the stereoselective synthesis of carbocations.
