Product Information
1-Bromo-4-diethoxyphosphoryl-butane (1BPB) is a macrochelating agent that has been shown to have a specific agonist effect on the receptor subtype, which is a residue in the phospholipid bilayer. It interacts with the receptor by binding to it and reducing its activity. 1BPB can be used as an electron microscopy contrast agent because it binds to zirconium ions, which are used in electron microscopes. The uptake of 1BPB is increased in protonated form and decreased in deprotonated form.
