Description:

N-(2,6-Diethylphenylcarbamoylmethyl)iminodiacetic Acid is a polymeric matrix that is reconstituted with radioactive iodine. It has been used in the treatment of cholelithiasis and cancer therapy as a means to deliver radioactive iodine to the target tissue. The polymer is composed of fatty acid ester chains, which are conjugated through amide bonds with iminodiacetic acid. The drug binds to the fatty acids in the polymer matrix and is released from the polymer once it reaches the target tissue. N-(2,6-Diethylphenylcarbamoylmethyl)iminodiacetic Acid has been shown to bind chloride ions at high concentrations and can be used for ion exchange chromatography to separate or purify drugs or metabolites.
