Description:

Dichloro[(R)-(+)-2,2'-bis(di-2-furanylphosphino)-6,6'-dimethoxy-1,1'-biphenyl]palladium(II) is a synthetic palladium complex with a chelate ring. It has been used as a catalyst in organic synthesis for the preparation of styrene derivatives from trimethylsilylacetylene and aryl chlorides. Crystals of this compound are colorless, with an orthorhombic crystal system. Diffraction data was collected to determine its structure, which showed that it is an asymmetric molecule with five-membered chelate rings. Preparative methods have been developed to produce this compound at high purity levels.
