Product Information

Name:
VEGFR3 Kinase Inhibitor, MAZ51
Synonyms:
  • 3-(4-Dimethylamino-Naphthalen-1-Ylmethylene)-1,3-Dihydro-Indol-2-One
Description:

MAZ51 is a VEGFR3 kinase inhibitor that binds to the ATP binding site of the VEGFR3 protein. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mouse mammary tumors by inducing cell death and inhibiting angiogenesis. The drug-resistant phenotype was observed in human breast cancer cells with mutations in the VEGFR3 gene, which led to increased expression of the protein. MAZ51 showed potent anti-cancer activity against these cells, but not against other cell lines that were not resistant to paclitaxel. This suggests that MAZ51 may be useful for treating drug-resistant cancers such as those that are resistant to docetaxel.
