Description:
6-Nitrobenzo[d]thiazole-2-carbonitrile (6NTZC) is a bioorthogonal triamide that can be used as a fluorescent probe for the detection of insulin in live cells. It is also an organocatalyst that can be used to catalyze reactions with high efficiency. 6NTZC has been shown to have high sensitivity and selectivity for cyanation, which is an important reaction in the production of pharmaceuticals. 6NTZC has also been shown to be bioluminescent and can be used as a light source for the detection of luciferin, which is a substrate for bioluminescence. 6NTZC has been shown to have good bioavailability and can be derivatized into other compounds with desired properties.
