Description:

2,8-Bis(9H-carbazol-9-yl)dibenzothiophene is a bidentate ligand that has been used as an electron acceptor in light emitting diodes and as a cross-linking agent for organic molecules. It is also an important fluorescent compound that emits light when excited by electromagnetic radiation. This compound can be used to generate excitons with other electron donors, such as triazine or naphthalene, and can be used as a fluorescent dye with high quantum yield. 2,8-Bis(9H-carbazol-9-yl)dibenzothiophene is soluble in organic solvents, and forms stable complexes with metal ions.
