Product Information
2-Amino-3-nitrobenzamide is a potent inhibitor of tumour cell proliferation in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of DNA and RNA. 2-Amino-3-nitrobenzamide has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of tumour cells from ovarian cancer and other types of cancer. It was also shown to have an effect on the flow rate of tumour cells, suggesting that it may be used as an anti-cancer drug. 2-Amino-3-nitrobenzamide inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 20S proteasome and preventing the formation of peptide bonds between amino acids. This drug is synthesised by reacting 3,4'-diaminobenzidine with nitrous acid.
