Nicotinamide riboside triflate, also known as Nicotinamide riboside triflic acid salt or NR triflate is a nicotinamide analogue used as a reagent for the preparation of nicotinamide riboside compounds. Because triflate salts are generally not pharmaceutically acceptable, the triflate form of nicotinamide riboside needs to be converted to another salt containing acceptable counter anions, such as nicotinamide riboside hydrogen malate and nicotinamide hydrogen tartrate, to be considered acceptable for consumption and considered pharmaceutically approved.
