Product Information

Name:
1,3-Bis[(di-tert-butylphosphino)oxy]benzene
Description:

1,3-Bis[(di-tert-butylphosphino)oxy]benzene (1,3BPOB) is a ligand that has been extensively studied using quantum theory. This ligand can be used to stabilize metal ions in their high oxidation state and to promote the formation of catalytic complexes. 1,3BPOB can also interact with metal ions through the sigma and pi systems. It has been shown that the binding energy of 1,3BPOB to various metals is dependent on the type of metal and its oxidation state. 1,3BPOB interacts with iridium through a number of orbitals including pπ*, pσ*, and dσ* orbitals. The interaction energies for these interactions are drastically different due to the different electron density distribution between the two metals.
