Product Information

Name:
6-Thioguanosine-5'-O-monophosphate sodium salt
Description:

6-Thioguanosine-5'-O-monophosphate sodium salt is a nucleotide that is an endogenous purine nucleotide. It has been shown to inhibit the phosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) by camp levels, which leads to increased cellular levels of cAMP and cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cAMP). 6TGMP has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro, including hepatoma cells and ovcar-3 cells. This nucleotide also inhibits the activity of several growth factors, such as insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1), transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ), and fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2).
