Synonyms:
  • TNP-AMP
Description:

Ribonucleosides are a class of nucleosides that contain ribose as their sugar moiety. The 2' and 3'-O-trinitrophenyl-adenosine-5'-monophosphate triethylammonium salt is an example of a ribonucleoside with the formula CHNO. It has been shown to be active against cancer cells in vitro, but has not yet been used in clinical trials. Ribonucleosides have also been shown to inhibit viral replication and can be used as antiviral agents.
