Product Information

Name:
L-Ascorbic acid 2-phosphate sesquimagnesium salt hydrate
Description:

L-Ascorbic acid 2-phosphate sesquimagnesium salt hydrate (LAP) is a stable form of vitamin C that has been shown to have beneficial effects on the brain microvascular endothelium in preoperative patients. This drug has also been shown to reduce occludin expression and hypertrophy in chondrocytes, which may be due to its ability to induce efflux of glutathione from cells. LAP has also been found to reduce osteoclast activity by inhibiting the differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into osteoclasts. This drug may be a potential treatment for osteoporosis and other disorders related to bone loss, such as rheumatoid arthritis.
