Description:

Xanthosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt is a nucleotide that has been shown to react with nitrite in aqueous solution to form xanthosine 5'-monophosphate. The reaction system can be prepared by adding nitrite to a solution of xanthosine 5'-monophosphate disodium salt and deionized water. The crystallization process can be done by adding ethanol dropwise to the reaction system under controlled conditions.
