Product Information
(S)-1-Amino-2,3-dihydro-1H-indene-4-carbonitrile hydrochloride (ADC) is a chiral amino compound that can be synthesized from benzylamine and carbonitrile. ADC reacts with hydrochloric acid in the liquid phase to form a filtrate containing ADC and benzylamine derivatives. The product is then purified by extraction with ethyl acetate and methanol.
ADC's optical purity can be determined by monitoring its reaction solution for the formation of ADCOH (a chiral borane). This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animal studies.
