Description:

Gamma-cyclodextrin is a cyclic dextrin that contains six glucopyranose units. It is used as a complexing agent in biochemistry, usually to purify or isolate proteins from other cellular components. Gamma-cyclodextrin has been modified with fluorine and methyl groups to form gamma-cyclodextrin dihydrogen phosphate sodium salt (gamma-CDHP). This modification increases the solubility of the compound in water and improves its stability.
