Description:

N-Butyl mandelate is a hydroxy group covalently immobilized on an aromatic hydrocarbon, which is asymmetric. It is a neurotoxic compound that has inhibitory effects on various enzymes, including esterases and lipases. N-Butyl mandelate can be used to produce ester compounds with alcohols and other organic solvents. This reaction vessel must be immobilized in order to prevent the loss of the product during reactions. The formation rate of this compound is dependent on copper salt and lipase, which are both organic solvents.
