Product Information
Sodium 3-hydroxybenzenesulfonate is a sodium salt of the aromatic sulfonic acid that is generated from the reaction of sodium hydroxide with 3-hydroxybenzene. It is a second-generation reagent in organic synthesis and can be used to form esters, amides, and sulfones. This reagent can also be used as an acid catalyst for esterification and condensation reactions. Sodium 3-hydroxybenzenesulfonate is used to catalyze the polymerization of polystyrene and other olefinic monomers. It has a high catalytic activity and yields high product yields.
