Description:
Diammineplatinum nitrite is a compound that is used as a catalyst for hydrogenation reactions. It is also used to produce platinum metal and as an analytical reagent. Diammineplatinum nitrite solution in ammonium hydroxide has been used as a gas sensor and the interaction of chloride, constant, acidic, and functional groups can be observed. The higher the concentration of ammonia, the more acidic the solution becomes.
