Product Information
1-Phenyl-2-(piperidin-1-yl)ethane-1,2-dione (PPED) is an organic molecule with a molecular weight of 204.22 g/mol. PPED has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of methylphenidate in vitro and in vivo. It is also shown to inhibit the transfer of chloride ions from potassium channels and increase the permeability of sodium channels, which may be due to its supramolecular properties. PPED inhibits the conformational changes that are necessary for methylphenidate binding to its receptor, thereby preventing neurotransmitter release.
