Neodymium(III) acetylacetonate is a conjugate of neodymium and acetylacetone. It has been shown to exhibit a strong enhancement effect in the near infrared region, with an emission maximum at about 730 nm. The luminescence properties of neodymium(III) acetylacetonate are due to the excitation of electrons from the valence band to the conduction band. Neodymium(III) acetylacetonate is soluble in organic solvents such as cycloaliphatic ethers, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and halogenated hydrocarbons. When neodymium(III) acetylacetonate is used as a catalyst for organic reactions or polymerization reactions, it can be activated by light (e.g., UV light). This leads to an increase in reaction rate and yield. Optical microscopy studies have shown that neodymium(III) acet
