Product Information
BRD56491 is a small molecule that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of antioxidative enzymes such as superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and catalase, which protect cells from oxidative damage. BRD56491 binds to reactive oxygen species (ROS) and prevents their accumulation and leads to cellular death by apoptotic cell death. This drug also shows hepatoprotective effects in Sprague-Dawley rats by suppressing the expression of suppressor genes such as p53 and survivin. BRD56491 is a polymer conjugate that consists of an anti-cancer molecule linked with polyethylene glycol.
