1,19-Eicosadiene is a natural compound that is found in the human body and has been identified as a potential biomarker for chronic bronchitis. The study aimed to identify 1,19-eicosadiene as an alternative biomarker for chronic bronchitis (CB) diagnosis. Questionnaires were collected from pregnant women to assess their exposure to 1,19-eicosadiene. A total of 8,621 pregnant women were enrolled in this study and 1,095 questionnaires were returned. Results showed that the prevalence of CB was 3% and the sensitivity and specificity of the questionnaire was 83% and 79%, respectively. Chronic bronchitis can be diagnosed using questionnaires with high sensitivity and specificity.
