Description:

Tris(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedionato)cobalt(III) is a solid catalyst used in the production of ethylene. It is an effective catalyst for dehydrogenation reactions and has been used to produce ethane from ethylene. Tris(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedionato)cobalt(III) is selective for the oxidation of ethane to ethylene with a selectivity of approximately 100%. This catalyst also has a high stability and can be regenerated by heating at 400 °C.
