5-Bromo-2'-deoxy-5'-O-DMT-uridine 3'-CE phosphoramidite is a nucleoside analog and a potential anticancer drug. It is an excellent monophosphate, which can be used as a building block for synthesis of DNA. 5-Bromo-2'-deoxy-5'-O-DMT-uridine 3'-CE phosphoramidite has antiviral activity against HIV and herpes simplex virus, as well as antifungal activity against Candida albicans. This compound has also been shown to have antitumor activity in vitro in the presence of other anticancer drugs.
