3-Chloro-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[B,D]azepine is an antiparasitic and antibiotic. It is a synthetic chemical compound with antiviral and antifungal properties. 3-Chloro-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[B,D]azepine is used in chemotherapy to kill microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. 3-Chloro-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[B,D]azepine may also be used as medicine for treating infections caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus or the virus herpes zoster (shingles). 3CDA is not active against Gram positive bacteria such as Clostridium perfringens.
