Product Information
- Carbamicacid, (phenylmethyl)-, phenylmethyl ester (9CI)
- Benzyl N-benzylcarbamate
- N-(Benzyloxycarbonyl)benzylamine
Benzyl benzylcarbamate is a monomer that belongs to the class of m. oleifera. It has been shown to inhibit inflammatory pain in the model system by blocking the hydrogenation reduction of arachidonic acid and inhibiting COX-2 activity. Benzyl benzylcarbamate also inhibits chronic liver inflammation and is imprinted, with four different enantiomers. The tetradentate binding mode of this monomer allows it to bind to DNA via four nitrogen atoms, which may be due to its structural similarities with acetonitrile and vinylic amines.
