Description:
2-Bromo-N-(2-phenylethyl)acetamide is a nucleophile that can be used as a therapeutic agent. It has been shown to disrupt the cell membrane and inhibit cell proliferation in A549 cells, which are human lung carcinoma cells. This drug also has diagnostic applications and can be used as a reagent for affinity chromatography. 2-Bromo-N-(2-phenylethyl)acetamide has been shown to have antitumor activity in mice with leukemia due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and protein.
