Description:
(S)-2-(Piperidin-2-yl)acetic acid is a synthetically made amide that is used in the synthesis of other amides. It has been shown to have optical activity and can be synthesized through an amide, ester, or β-unsaturated cyclic route. The asymmetric synthesis of (S)-2-(piperidin-2-yl)acetic acid was achieved by using a catalytic asymmetric synthesis. This molecule can also be synthesized by aldol cyclization or diastereoselective cyclizations.
