2-Amino-6-chloro-4-methylpyridine-3,5-dicarbonitrile (2ACMP) is a broad spectrum antimicrobial that inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium avium. It is an inhibitor molecule that binds to target enzymes such as thymidylate synthase and other biochemical reactions in the cell. 2ACMP has been shown to be effective against cancer cells and has been used in clinical studies for autoimmune diseases.
