Taurolithocholic acid 3-sulfate disodium salt (TLCA) is a bile acid that has been used to treat pancreatitis. This drug is a reactive agent that can be utilised by the pancreas and c. tinctoria. TLCA has been shown to inhibit reactive oxygen species and induce necrotic cell death, which may be due to its antioxidant effects. TLCA also inhibits proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells in vitro and can be used as a potential treatment for pancreatic cancer.
