Description:
4-Bromo-3-methylisothiazole-5-carboxaldehyde is a potassium ion efflux inhibitor that binds to the potassium ion channel and blocks the exit of potassium ions from cells. It is used orally to treat muscle spasms and stiffness, but has not been studied in animals. 4-Bromo-3-methylisothiazole-5-carboxaldehyde has shown some anti-tumour activity in vitro against dopamine D2 receptor positive tumours.
