Product Information
- 5-(2-Chlorophenyl)-1,3-Oxazole
5-(3-Chlorophenyl)-1,3-oxazole is a potent retinoid analogue that can be used to treat cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of various cancer cell lines and induce apoptosis in them. 5-(3-Chlorophenyl)-1,3-oxazole is a potent inhibitor of cytochrome P450 enzymes and inhibits the production of endogenous all-trans-retinoic acid, which may contribute to its anti-tumor effects. This agent also has affinity for DNA and induces mutations that may lead to cancer cell death. 5-(3-Chlorophenyl)-1,3-oxazole is currently being developed as an anticancer drug in clinical trials.
