α-defensin-6 is a human protein that belongs to the α-defensin family. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and is thought to be involved in the innate immune response. α-Defensin-6 has been shown to inhibit ion channels, receptor activation, and cell biology.
This product is available as a 0.1mg vial and contains disulfide bonds between Cys4-Cyc31, Cys6-Cys20 and Cys10-Cys30. It can be used as an antimicrobial peptide in Paneth cells.
