Product Information
Tristin is a phenolic acid that is found in the diet. Tristin is used as a health functional food ingredient and can be found in food products such as cheese, chocolate, and wine. Tristin has been shown to have an anti-cancer effect on squamous carcinoma cells in mice by inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). It has also been shown to reduce the activity of enzymes associated with muscle diseases and Alzheimer's disease. Tristin has also been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice transplanted with human pancreatic cancer cells. Tristin also shows antioxidant properties due to its polyunsaturated fatty acids content.
