Description:
Benzofuran-2-amine is a compound that has been shown to inhibit the production of nitric oxide from 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) in human platelets. It also inhibits the activity of cyclase, an enzyme involved in the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. Benzofuran-2-amine has been found to be effective against cancer cells and infectious diseases, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This drug may also have antipsychotic properties and could potentially be used for the treatment of psychotic disorders.
