Product Information
Dunnianol is a natural compound found in Carthamus tinctorius that has been shown to exhibit antibacterial efficacy against a variety of bacteria. Dunnianol inhibits the activity of LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells by reducing the production of inflammatory cytokines and proteases that are responsible for cell damage and lung inflammation. Dunnianol also inhibits the activity of bacterial DNA polymerase by binding to the hydroxyl group on the enzyme and blocking its ability to bind to DNA, thereby inhibiting viral replication. Dunnianol may be an effective treatment for infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, which is due to its ability to inhibit viral replication in infected cells.
