Product Information

Name:
Bis-(1-chloro-2-propyl)phosphate-d12
Description:

Bis-(1-chloro-2-propyl)phosphate (BCP) is a manmade compound that is structurally similar to the natural hormone, dibutyl. The receptor activity of BCP has been shown to be similar to that of the human liver receptor α in a sample preparation study. This chemical has been found to have adverse health effects on women and may lead to an increase in blood pressure. BCP was detected in urine samples at levels up to 0.5 ng/mL and can be found in food sources such as milk, cheese, and eggs at levels of up to 3 µg/kg. The analytical method for bis-(1-chloro-2-propyl)phosphate is liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
