VUF 11222 is a potent inhibitor, with IC50 values in the low nanomolar range, of voltage-gated Na+ channels and Ca2+ currents, with no significant effects on K+ currents. This peptide is also an agonist at the benzodiazepine site of GABAA receptors, with an EC50 value of 0.1 μM.
