Description:

Linezolid N-Oxide-D3 is a white to light yellow powder that contains dipole and n-oxide impurities. It is an antibiotic drug that can be used to treat bacterial infections. It has a molecular weight of 597.70 and a melting point of 86°C. Linezolid N-Oxide-D3 has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Gram positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus, by inhibiting the enzyme DNA gyrase, which prevents the unwinding of DNA strands during replication. Linezolid N-Oxide-D3 also inhibits protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes and blocking amino acid incorporation into proteins. This compound has been shown to be effective against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex in animal models, but is not active against acid-fast bacteria such as M. tuberculosis or M. avium complex.
